【Sample Requirements】

  1. Applicable Sample

(1) Rash exudate: The rash exudate was swabbed with a sterile swab, placed in a sterile tube (containing 1ml of sterilized saline), and sent for examination under airtight conditions, and the specimen was immediately available for testing.

(2) Oropharyngeal swab: Wipe the swab slightly hard back and forward on both sides of the tonsil of the recipient at least 3 times, and then wipe it up and down the posterior pharyngeal wall at least 3 times, and dip the swab head into the tube containing virus preservation solution to tighten the tube lid.

  1. Sample Shipping and Storage

Strictly follow the relevant regulations in “specimen preservation” and “specimen submission for inspection” of clinical specimens.

Sample Storage: The sample to be tested can be subjected to nucleic acid extraction immediately, if the sample needs to be tested within 24 hours, it can be stored at 2~8℃,if the sample cannot be detected within 24 hours, it can be stored at -20℃~ -80℃, try to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, resulting in false negatives.

Sample Shipping: Low temperature transportation is adopted, and the sample transportation should comply with the relevant national biosafety regulations on the second type of pathogenic microorganisms.
