China’s annual obstetrics andgynecology outpatient visits reach 400-500 million, with over half of these visits related to rep-roductive tract infections48, driving a massive demand for testing. Traditional testing methodshave limitations: While relatively inexpensive, traditional microscopic examinations (such asGram stains and fluorescent stains) and biochemical tests are subject to significant subjectivity,high rates of missed and misdiagnoses (up to 40% missed on first visits), and difficulty identi-fying mixed infections (the rate of mixed infections can range from 13.7% to 56.8%).
