【Intended Use】

The Nipah Virus Antigen Rapid Detection Kit is used for the rapid qualitative detection of Nipah virus antigen in human serum, plasma, and whole blood. It can be used for scientific research investigations and auxiliary diagnosis of Nipah virus infection samples. Due to limitations and other factors, the test results should not be used as the sole basis for treatment or other management decisions. The test results should be combined with clinical symptoms or other routine examination methods.

【Test Principle】

The Nipah Virus Antigen Rapid Detection Kit is a membrane-based immunoassay used to detect Nipah virus antigen in whole blood, serum, or plasma. The membrane is pre-coated with recombinant Nipah virus antibody. During the test, the sample reacts with the particles containing Nipah virus antibody in the test kit. The mixture migrates upwards on the membrane chromatogram through a capillary action and reacts with the recombinant Nipah virus antibody on the membrane in the test line area. If the sample contains Nipah virus antigen and eventually forms a red band in the test area (T), the result is positive. Conversely, when the sample contains no Nipah virus antigen or is below the limit of detection, no red band appears in the detection zone (T), and the result is negative. Regardless of whether the sample contains Nipah virus antigen, a red band will form in the control zone (C).
